Data Deletion

You can ask PropVista to delete your account and the personal information we hold about you at any time. This page explains how to make the request, what is deleted, what we may be required to keep for a limited period, and how long the process takes.

1. How to request deletion

Send an email to:

Include in the body:

  • The email address associated with your PropVista account.
  • If you signed up through Google or Facebook, the provider you used so we can locate the linked record.
  • Optionally, the brokerage you are associated with — this helps us route the request to the correct data controller.

We will reply within two business days to confirm receipt and ask any follow-up questions needed to verify your identity before deletion.

2. What we delete

Once we have verified the request, we delete the following from our active production systems:

  • Your user profile (name, email, phone number, profile image).
  • Authentication credentials — password hash, one-time-passcode records, linked Google or Facebook account identifiers.
  • Content you authored that is not bound to another user's active workflow (drafts, notes, uploaded media).
  • Marketing consents, preferences, and behavioural analytics records tied to your account.

3. What we are required to retain

Real-estate regulation in the jurisdictions PropVista serves requires that certain records be preserved for a limited period after the account is closed. Where the law requires us to keep a record, we retain only the minimum data needed and we do not use it for any purpose other than the legal obligation.

  • UAE — Dubai Land Department / RERA: transaction metadata and broker-consumer relationship records tied to listings or offers are retained for the period required by the Dubai Land Department and the Real Estate Regulatory Agency, currently up to five years.
  • Canada — TRREB / RECO: Virtual Office Website (VOW) audit logs and broker-consumer relationship records are retained for seven years from the date of the last interaction, as required by the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board agreements and the Real Estate Council of Ontario.
  • Financial records: invoices, payment receipts, and related accounting records are retained for the period required by applicable tax law (typically seven years).
  • Security and fraud-prevention logs: access logs and incident records may be retained for up to twelve months to detect and investigate misuse.

Retained records are stored in restricted-access systems and are deleted automatically once the retention window expires.

4. Timeline

  • Within 2 business days: we acknowledge your request and confirm any verification we need.
  • Within 30 days of verification: we complete deletion from active production systems and send you written confirmation.
  • Within 90 days of verification: deletion is propagated to encrypted backups as they are rotated through their normal lifecycle.

5. Social sign-in (Google, Facebook)

If you signed in to PropVista using Google or Facebook, deleting your PropVista account does not delete your Google or Facebook account itself — we only delete the link between that account and PropVista. To remove PropVista's access from your social account, also revoke it from your provider's connected-apps settings.
